Fed up with her faltering pop career, the tiny 27-year-old has been secretly sniffing around for cool tunes to record. She was gutted to find out a particular favourite by hot producer Tah Mac had been snapped up by ex-Sugababe Mutya Buena, 20. A source said "Rachel was in New York and requested a meeting with Tah. She told him that she had heard a demo of a track called "Give Back" and wanted to record it as she's determined to change her sound. Rachel was visably gutted when She was told that Mutya had been given the rights to the song She had her heart set on. Tah's new single "Get up" featuring ex So Solid member JD and new urban boy Royston is out on Monday and features Sugababe Kiesha Buchannan in the video"

Rachel in the pink ----- June 28th 2006 Ananova mentions Rachel's Pink Panther rumours too: Rachel Stevens is reportedly in the running to play the love interest in the next Pink Panther movie. MGM/Sony have given the go-ahead for a further two remakes starring Steve Martin. The next film will have Martin’s Inspector Clouseau teaming up with Scotland Yard to work a case. And Rachel is in talks as the possible female lead, according to darkhorizons.com. Kevin Kline, Jean Reno and Emily Mortimer are all expected to return.

Rachel saves lifes! ----- June 25th 2006 credit: RSO Pop babe Rachel Stevens saved John Duncan's life - by telling him to put his hand down his trousers. Pals sent John an e-mail featuring the former S Club star warning lads to check their tackle for cancer. That night John, 28, and English teacher from Aberdeen, found a lump on his left side. Rachel has made the e-mail advert for the Everyman male cancer awareness month alongside Robbie Williams.

Pink Panther role for Rachel? ----- June 21st 2006 credits: RSO and Dark Horizon There seems to be plenty of rumours of Rachel acting career: Hostel deux, Doctor Who and now Pink Panther! Steve Martin is rumoured to be doing not one, but two sequels to his god awful "Pink Panther" redux for MGM and Sony. There is one good bit of news, the people behind the camera seem to be improving. Martin is apparently now polishing a script by "Dodgeball" writer/director Rawson Marshall Thurber and Mike Saltzman that sees Inspector Clouseau placed on special assignment with Scotland Yard. Former S Club 7 singer Rachel Stevens is one of the names rumoured for the female lead. Kevin Kline, Jean Reno, and Emily Mortimer are not expected to return for the sequel. Thurber is also expected to fill the director chair instead of Shawn Levy ("Cheaper by the Dozen") this time. PS: I'm going to our summer house, I'll be back on Sunday. Take care everyone :)

Rachel and Christian Slater? ----- June 2nd 2006 Rachel's seems to be busy with guys, in April she spent a romantic holiday in Barbados with her secret man now she's been spotted with Christian Slater. Go Rachel! :D Is there no stopping Christian Slater? It's another night, and another date as the Hollywood bedhopper swoops in for our sweet little Rachel Stevens. Christian, 36, and Rachel, 28, were snapped leaving London's plush St Martins Lane hotel in the early hours of Wednesday morning. Since he separated from his wife Ryan earlier this year, after five years of marriage, Christian has earned quite a reputation for trawling the capital's best parties for our hottest girls. They include Girls Aloud babe Sarah Harding and model Jasmine Lennard. Rachel has written a new message for us: Hi everyone, it's been a while since I've written to you guys, so I just wanted to give you an update on what I've been up to back home. It's great to be back but I think I got a little too used to the sunshine & it's not looking like summer like out my window right now! LA seems like ages ago, yet I remember packing to go like it was yesterday. Talking of packing, you should have seen my house when I got home, it's amazing what three months of unpacking looks like, it took me days! On top of that I had the builders straight in, AGAIN..... my house will be finished eventually! (I hope!) It's been chaos, very exciting though because it's all the finishing touches now so I'm picking paint at the moment - my kitchen is covered in splodges where I've been sampling colours, been getting very artistic!
